Dingle Lá Le Bríde Single Malt Whiskey

Irish Whiskey from the Dingle Distillery

The Dingle Whiskey Distillery is an independent family-owned business established In 2012, in County Kerry. The founders, Oliver Hughes, Liam LaHart and Peter Mosley had previously set up the Porterhouse Brewing Company and pioneered craft brewing in Ireland in 1996. Their first whiskey release was in 2015. Their Founding Fathers programme in the Dingle distillery, an innovation in the Irish market, gave whiskey lovers the opportunity to invest in the first 500 casks, with options in terms of cask type, sell-back, and maturation period, and each cask carried the investors name. They also produce gin and vodka under the Dingle brand.

The water used in distillation comes from their own well, pumped up from 70 metres below the distillery.

This limited release honours the ancient Celtic celebration of Lá le Bríde or Saint Brigid’s Day, also known as Imbolg. It is the second in the Celtic Wheel of the Year series and marks the beginning of spring and the arrival of brighter, warmers days.

Matured in Bourbon casks with a Rye cask finish, it has no age statement and is bottled at 50.5% ABV.
