Armorik Porto Single Cask 2014

French whisky from the Warenghem distillery, Brittany

Léon Warenghem founded a distillery in 1900 in Lannion on the north coast of Britanny, France to produce a liqueur called Elixir d’Armorique. It is still an independent, family owned distillery and it released its first blended whisky in 1987 called WB Breton.

Armorik is the distillery's single malt brand. It was launched in 1998 which makes it the first single malt whisky produced in France.

This single cask was aged from May 2014 to July 2016 in a bourbon cask, then continued its maturation in a port cask until June 2020. It is bottled at 53% abv.
