Our exclusive 10 year old Irishman Single Malt

And there you have it! 10 years of whiskey tastings in Ennis. Back in February 2012 Eric & Paul managed to convince a handful of non-whiskey drinking friends to come along to Brogans in Ennis, to share a passion for Irish Whiskey. We sat down to a bite to eat, caught up with goings-on, and delved into the wonderful world of whiskey. 4 cracking Irish whiskeys were had, another night was requested and the rest as they say is history. The crew in Ennis have been introduced to 100s of wonderful world whiskeys over the 10 years. Check out some of them here

Eric Flynn and Paul Quin of the Ennis Whiskey Club

After the Irish Whiskey Society, the Ennis Whiskey Club is the oldest whiskey club in Ireland. The renaissance of Irish Whiskey over the last 10 years has seen many more clubs/societies follow. What still makes us pretty unique, is the sitting for a meal before exploring the whiskeys of the night. We couldn't let the 10 year anniversary pass without marking it. In December 2022, we met up in Dan O'Connells bar in Ennis to celebrate and we had a cracking bit of grub to start. We were delighted that Mike Mulcaire was with us on the night, and he captured some beautiful shots.

We will be forever grateful to Bernard Walsh, whos mam hails from Tulla, for helping us mark our anniversary with a very, special 10 year old Irishman single malt, exclusively for the Ennis Whiskey Club.

We had another stellar international line up for our December tasting, before we had a pour of our own bottling. The lovely boutique distillery in Tipperary was represented, along with Tasmanian Hellyers Road, our first GlenAllachie expression from Speyside and another visit to the spectacular Glengyle distillery in Campbeltown with their Kilkerran 16 year old!
